Primary Mirror Mount Yoke

PHOTO: Primary Mirror on Yoke
Here's the primary mirror glued to the primary mirror mount yoke. Visible in the corners of the triangular yoke are the pusher or lock bolts for the primary mirror collimation. The collimation bolt setup is a push-pull type that has lock bolts next to the collimation adjusting bolts. Also seen here are the "L" shaped safety brackets used to restrain the mirror if the silicone adhesive bonding the mirror to the yoke should ever fail. This photo was taken 30 July 2000 with an Olympus D-600L digital camera.
