Primary Collimation Adjuster
These are the bolts used to adjust the collimation of the
primary mirror. The large bolt with the
washer under its head is the "puller" bolt and the other large bolt is the
"pusher". This push-pull arrangement allows the adjustment to be locked and
provides for a very stable, long lasting collimation. The two smaller bolts
support a small "L" shaped safety
bracket that would keep the primary mirror in place if the silicone
attaching it to the the primary yoke
should give away for any reason.
