I was driving along the Apache Trail east of Phoenix when I noticed this trantula on the dirt road. Some friends were with me and had no idea what was happening when I came to a quick stop and jumped out of the car with my camera. I was down on the ground taking photos of this hairy friend, which caused other cars to stop to see what was going on. They thought I was hurt because I was lying on the dirt road with other people standing around looking at me. They all laughed when they learned the truth and became part of the growing crowd.
