I photographed this Squirrel monkey (saimiri sciureus ustus) and its baby at the Phoenix Zoo in Arizona. This was the first time I had been to the relatively new monkey exhibit and was treated by this baby monkey that was only about three weeks old at the time. Even though the baby was so young and possibly asleep at the time, it was able to hang on to its parent quite easily even when upside down. Their natural habitat is the Amazon region of South America.
