These are two of the Galapagos tortoises at the Phoenix Zoo, Arizona. They are fun to watch when they're active, which they were this time I was there. Here's a young tortoise enjoying lunch with company. For some strange reason, whenever I see these I think of the armadillo creature on the cover of the Tarkus album by Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
