Yosemite National Park in California is an amazing place. I went there one weekend with my Wista DX Cherry 4x5 view camera on a purely photographic adventure. It was the only time I've gone there by myself, which is usually the best way to shoot with a large format camera. The waterfall in this photograph is just one of many small streams that flow near the roads of the park. I was driving along and noticed it out of the corner of my eye. While I was stopped photographing this beautiful waterfall, many cars drove past and nobody else stopped to enjoy it. Near the bottom of the photograph is a small rainbow in the mist of the falls. I used a Polaroid 4x5 color transparency film for this image and scanned it on my HP 7400c flatbed scanner using its transparency adapter. Photograph by Rick Scott.
