This is the famous White Place from Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings. The White Place is also one of the locations used in the movie, "Cowboys and Aliens". That morning I took a tour of her home and studio in Abiquiu. The White Place could be seen from her home and the tour guide pointed it out. Once I knew where to find it, I just couldn't resist going there even though it was mid-June and quite warm outside. Finding it was not difficult but did require driving on some dirt roads that were well worth the drive. There is quite a bit of interesting geology to see here in the various landscape forms as shown with my photographs shown below.
