Niagara Falls Panorama

PHOTO

I took my children on vacation to see Niagara Falls during one of their autumn school breaks. While there, I noticed this grand view of the falls from the steps of a shop they were in so I took a series of photos on a tripod with the intent of making a panorama of this gorgeous scene. As you can see, the panorama came out fairly nice. The American Falls is left of center in the distance and Horseshoe Falls dominates the right half of this photograph. This panorama is made from eight wide-angle photographs with a generous amount of overlap to minimize distortion. The railing in the lower right-hand corner does show a mismatch, but it was only about one foot (1/3 meter) from the camera lens.
