This photo was taken from the main park road the morning that I was going to visit Yellowstone National Park, 7 July 1994. The day before, a large storm came through the area which produced these wonderful clouds. I used an Olympus OM-3 camera with a Zuiko (Olympus) 40mm f/2 lens set at f/8. I scanned the image with a Nikon Coolscan LS-10 and used Adobe Photoshop to apply mild color correction and sharpening. I also made a mask to select the foreground grass and trees to lighten them a little, as the range of light was quite wide for the film. Photograph by Rick Scott.
