Lake Powell Canyon, Utah

PHOTO

Lake Powell and it environs is a beautiful place. My family went on a six day house boat trip in May of 1996, something I'm looking forward to doing again sometime. I went exploring on foot wherever we landed and took many photos. This photograph is the result of an excursion up a canyon near one of our camp sites to see if a shelter cave at its end contained any old dwellings. There weren't any signs of civilization but the view back was astounding. In the distance, you can see a little bit of Lake Powell itself. For this photograph I used my Olympus OM-3 camera with Fuji Provia 100 film and scanned it with my Nikon LS-2000 film scanner. Photograph by Rick Scott.
