Corrector and Secondary Assembly
Here is the corrector assembly with the
secondary mirror assembly attached to it.
This photo shows the first time all of these pieces were put together. The face
in the mirror is Mike Spooner, the maker of the lenses and primary mirror for the
telescope. Also visible in this photo are the blue plastic shims used to prevent
any metal to glass interfaces. I got them from
Artus Plastic who supplies
a large assortment of shim material that's very suitable for the amateur
telescope maker.
This photo was taken 16 May 2000 with an Olympus D-600L digital camera in Mike's
shop at Page, Arizona.
