Horseshoe Bend, Colorado River

PHOTO

This phtotgraph speaks well for itself. Horseshoe Bend is a tight meander on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon. The day before I took this eight-image panorama, my family and I rafted the river from the base of Glen Canyon Dam to Lee's Ferry. During that raft trip, we floated through Horseshoe Bend. From the river we could see what looked like very tiny people on the rim above us. They were at the overlook that I took this photo from. The cliffs in the far background are the Vermillion Cliffs.
