Death Valley is part of the large Mojave desert in California. One of the unique features of the Mojave desert is the presence of the unusual Joshua tree. This particular forest is on the road leading to Racetrack Valley in the north eastern part of the national park. I used my Minolta DiMAGE A1 digital camera for this photograph.
