Cliff Detail on the Colorado Plateau

PHOTO

The desert consists of a very diverse range of terrain. In the case of this photograph, the land forms are made from ancient sand dunes that are now frozen in time. Wind and water has eroded the land for eons and in many places creates beautiful sculptures. This photograph is of one of these places, but the location of this photograph is a secret. It's a very fragile area that is easily damaged by placing a foot in the wrong place. I will tell you that it's on BLM land and they only give out permits for four people at a time to go into the area. I used my Olympus OM-3 35mm film camera with Provia 100 transparency film to take this photograph. Photograph by Rick Scott.
