If you go to Death Valley National Park, one of the things you should consider doing is to watch the sunrise from Badwater. If the sky is clear in the east, the rising sun casts nice colors which makes for a beautiful scene especially when the reflection from the water is is included. Badwater is also a very peaceful and quiet site to just sit and soak in the beauty. The highest mountain in the distance is Telescope Peak along the ridgeline of the Panamint Mountains.
