Anza Borrego Desert State Park, California

Anza Borrego Desert State Park in California is a wonderful place to enjoy dark skies, a large variety of desert landscapes, caves, canyons, washes, waterfalls, palm oasis, wildlife, wild flowers (in season of course), hiking trails, and many miles of off-road trails to enjoy exploring with a four-wheel drive vehicle. I've explored the park many times in the past and expect to do more in the future. You can camp (campground and back country) or stay in one of the local hotels.
