Corrector Lens Assembly
Here is a front view corrector lens assembly with the sleeve from the
secondary mirror mount. The
lens cell was made with the help of Cullen
Bennett of Tempe, Arizona and the two lenses were
made by Mike Spooner of Page, Arizona. The corrector lenses correct the spherical
and coma aberrations of the spherical primary mirror used in the Lurie-Houghton
design.
This photo was taken 16 May 2000 with an Olympus D-600L digital camera in Mike's
shop.
